Evaluate 20-2x when x=2 and when x=3. Which gives you the larger value and what is that value?

For x=2, 20-2x = 20-2(2) = 20-4 = 16;

for x = 3, 20-2x = 20 - 2(3) = 20-6 = 14

The larger y-value is obtained when x = 2, and that y vaue is 16.

20-4=16

20-2(3)

20-6=14
