A line passes through the points (2, -4) and (6, 10). What is the equation of the line?

The slope would be calculated as m = (y2 -y1)/(x2-x1)
So plugging in it would be m = (10- (-4))/(6-2) = 3.5
Then plugging into point slope form which is y - y1 = m(x - x1)
You would get y - 10 = 3.5(x-6) which simplifies is
Y = 3.5x -11
