Let the missing number be x

6 : 4 = x : 2

ratio is the same as fraction

6/4 = x/2

Step2 : cross multiply

x * 4 = 6 * 2

4x = 12

Divide both sides by 4

4x/4 = 12/4

x = 3

Therefore, the missing number is 3
